This Privacy Policy explains how Seed Identifier AI ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Photos you submit: images you capture or select are sent to our AI provider solely to identify plants, seeds, flowers and related botanical subjects and to generate growing information. They are not used to identify you.
- Content you create: identifications, your plant collection, journal entries and chat messages are stored locally on your device.
- Optional profile info: a name and email address you may choose to enter.
- Purchase data: subscription status is managed through Apple and RevenueCat. We never receive your full payment card details.
- Diagnostic and usage data: anonymous analytics and crash information used to improve the App.
How we use your information
- To provide plant identification, growing guides and the AI gardening assistant.
- To manage subscriptions and free-trial reminders.
- To maintain, secure and improve the App.
Third-party services
- Google Gemini (AI image analysis and chat responses).
- RevenueCat and Apple (subscription processing).
These providers process data under their own privacy policies.
Data retention and security
Your collection, journal and chat history are stored on your device and are removed if you delete the App. Photos are transmitted securely for processing and are not retained by us for advertising or profiling.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
